Short versions of these appear in the app at the moment each one matters, rather than only here where nobody reads them. The wording used in the app is listed at the end so the two cannot drift apart.
1. We are not part of your transaction
The VBC Market is a classified-advertising service. Cards are listed by members and sold by members. We are not the seller, the buyer, or an intermediary. We do not take payment, hold funds, escrow anything, verify that a card exists, confirm that a seller owns it, ship anything, or guarantee that any deal completes.
If a deal goes wrong, it is between you and the other member. We cannot recover your money, reverse a payment, or compel anyone to do anything.
2. Listings are member statements, not ours
Everything in a listing — the card, the condition, the grading company, the grade, the printing, the price, the photograph — is stated by the member who posted it. We do not inspect, authenticate, grade or appraise any card, and we do not check that any of it is true.
Grading company names (PSA, SGC, CGC, BVG, KSA and others) appear because members use them to describe their cards. Those companies have no association with this Site and do not endorse it.
3. The price guide is reported history, not a valuation
Prices in the price guide come from members reporting their own completed sales. They are not verified, audited, or appraised, and they are not a professional opinion of what any card is worth.
Do not rely on them for insurance, for tax, for probate, or for any decision that needs a real valuation. A single unusual sale moves a thin market, and nothing here corrects for condition subtleties, market timing, or a misreported figure. Get a professional appraisal if the number matters.
4. Ratings are opinions
A rating is one member's view of dealing with another. It is not a background check, a credit check, or an endorsement by us. A high rating is not a promise that the next deal will go well, and a member with no ratings is not necessarily a risk.
5. Match alerts are a convenience, not a guarantee
When a listing matches something on your want list we try to tell you. We do not guarantee that every match is found, that a notification arrives, that it arrives promptly, or that the card is still available when it does. Email is delivered by third parties and can be delayed, filtered or lost.
Nothing is reserved for you. A listing you were told about may be gone.
6. Card scans are for identification
The images on the Site are reference scans to help you identify a card. They are not photographs of the copy being sold. Ask the seller for photographs of the actual card before buying.
7. Availability
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. It may be offline, wrong, or gone tomorrow. It is run as a hobby.
8. Sponsored links
Some pages link to eBay through the eBay Partner Network, marked "Sponsored". We may earn a commission if you buy through one, at no extra cost to you. Those listings are not ours, we do not review them, and appearing here is not a recommendation of any particular listing or seller.
9. Taxes are yours
If you sell cards, any tax on that sale is your responsibility. We do not collect, report or remit tax on your behalf, and we do not give tax advice. If you sell regularly, take advice about your obligations where you live.
10. Names and trademarks
Topps® is a registered trademark of The Topps Company, Inc. PSA, SGC, CGC, BVG and KSA are trademarks of their respective grading companies. eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc. Facebook and Meta are trademarks of Meta Platforms, Inc.
None of these companies is affiliated with The VBC Market, and none of them endorses or sponsors it. Their names appear here only to identify which card a listing is about and who graded it — the plainest way to say "a 1952 Topps #311 in a PSA holder" is to say it.
Card designs and photographs remain the property of their owners. Card facts — numbers, players, teams, series — are not copyrightable and are published here as data.
11. Not advice
Nothing on the Site is legal, tax, financial or investment advice. Cards are not an investment product, and nothing here should be read as a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
The short forms used in the app
These are the in-context wordings. If one changes here, change it there too.

The full documents live at /terms, /privacy, /disclaimers and /dmca so each can be linked to directly. They are reached from the account menu and the footer rather than the nav: the nav is for the four things a member came to do, and a document read once should not take a row of it.
/dmca is on both of those for a reason the other three are not: 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2) designates an agent by registering with the Copyright Office and by making the same details available "in a location accessible to the public". The footer link is that second half. Removing it would break nothing a member notices and would quietly undo the registration.
